Macau NOC holds General Assembly |
|
Macau, China, March 23, 2016: The General Assembly of the Sports and Olympic Committee of Macau, China, took place at the Macau Tower Convention Centre on Wednesday, March 23.
Representatives of the 45 national sports associations affiliated to the NOC heard reports of the 15 events held in 2015, including some high-profile visits by star athletes from China organised by the NOC’s Youth Committee, as well as the financial review.
After the General Assembly, around 130 sports officials from the Macau government, NOC and national associations were joined by media and other stakeholders in a celebration dinner. The VIP guests included the recently appointed President of the Sports Bureau of the Macau Special Administrative Region Government, Mr Pun Weng Kun.
Macau NOC President Charles Lo, who is Chairman of the OCA Media Committee and a member of the OCA Executive Board, thanked all the national associations for their support and praised the government for their work in promoting and developing sport from grassroots to the elite level throughout Macau.
