  Macao transfers knowledge to Singapore Asian Youth Games Organizers
  

Invited by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and Singapore authorities, a team of OCA experts pays a visit to Singapore on 18th and 19th December, with the purposes to share with the organizing committees of the 1st Asian Youth Games in 2009 and the 1st Youth Olympic Games in 2010 about the experience of Macao and Doha in organizing large-size multisport games. The visit was made also to learn the preparation progress of the host city.

  5th East Asian Games Marks One Year Countdown to Opening
  

President of the Olympic Council of Asia Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad-Al-Sabah, and Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR Donald Tsang presided the “2009 EAG One Year Countdown Ceremony” held at Hong Kong Cultural Centre yesterday (5 Dec), during which they inaugurated the Countdown Clock for the Games.  Macau Olympic Committee President Eddie Laam Wah Ying and 1st Vice President Manuel Silvério represented Macau at the occasion during which the Games’ anthem “You are the Legend” was also official announced.

  Olympic Council of Asia 27th General Assembly approves details of new Asian Games
  

The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) held its General Assembly on 21st October, during the occasion of the 1st Asian Beach Games in Bali, Indonesia.  The meeting presided by OCA President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah was also attended by IOC President Jacque Rogge, representatives of the IOC Olympic Solidarity, the 2012 London Olympic Games Organising Committee, representatives from the four bidding cities for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games (Chicago, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro and Madrid), and also Singapore 1st Olympic Youth Games Organising Committee.

Macau Sports Delegation completed the Triathlon events yesterday at the 1st Asian Beach Games in Bali, the last day of the OCA newly created sporting event.

  October 21: Macao sport delegation competition results
  

The 1st Asian Beach Games came to the third day with the Macao sport delegation participated in the men’s and women’s 250m dragon boat events yesterday.  Competition was keen in the women’s event as Macao lost to Thailand just by 0.54sec, failing to claim another medal in the dragon boat event, while the men finished sixth.

The 1st Asian Beach Games has just completed its second day competition, in which Macao finished sixth and fourth in the 500m men’s and women’s dragon boat events respectively.
